Options for working with us
There are a number of ways in which clients can engage with us. We are first and foremost an academic laboratory providing bespoke service for our users rather than a bulk sequencing provider.
University of Exeter researchers
Researchers benefit from cost-price sequencing. This includes the cost of service contracts, consumables and staff time. Please ensure sequencing is accurately costed into your grant applications by a member of the Sequencing Facility Staff by quotations-sequencing@exeter.ac.uk. For existing projects Internal costings are provided. Please complete the form which can be downloaded from here and send to quotations-sequencing@exeter.ac.uk .
External research collaborations
Researchers benefit from a lower sequencing cost than commercial sequencing. Typically this includes a additional charge to cover optimisation and administration. To benefit from this you must be a Higher Education Institute and be willing to include University of Exeter Sequencing Facility members (or other Exeter academics) as co-authors on publications. An agreement must be signed to this effect.
Commercial sequencing
Commercial projects are always welcome; please contact us to discuss your project and obtain a formal quotation. Indicative commercial pricing can be found here. Please note that beyond our standard pipelines we will only provide bioinformatics support by prior detailed agreement.
