Postdoctoral Research Associate
Physical Geography
Currently I am a post-doctoral research associated in the ECR funded project Tropical peatlands and the carbon cycle - TroPeaCC. In this position I am working with greenhouse gas fluxes using different approaches (Eddy covariance and chamber method) aiming to understand the sources and drivers of methane fluxes in tropical peatlands. This work is a collaborative effort among colleagues from UK, Colombia, Uganda and Democratic Republic of Congo. I am also a Co-Investigator in the recently funded NSF-NERC project Spatial and temporal trade-offs in CO2 and CH4 emissions in tropical wetlands. I completed my PhD in plant biology at the University of Campinas in 2019. During my PhD, I developed my project within the NERC funded project Causes and consequences of tree mortality in the Amazon.
