Interests:
- Ocean circulation, mixing, hydrography and water masses dating
- High latitude studies, Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation
- Climate change in the oceans
- High precision measurements of oceanic transient tracers such as Chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs), Sulfur Hexafluoride (SF6), Trifluoromethyl Sulfur Pentafloride (SF5CF3) distributions to date water masses and highligth their pathways
- Estimates of the oceanic uptake of anthropogenic carbon dioxide (CO2) and anthropogenic Excess Heat using transient tracers
- Tracer/dye release experiments (TRE) in the ocean
- Rates and pathways of ocean overturning and ocean mixing studies using transient tracers and TRE
- Evaluation of numerical model simulations of oceanic processes using transient tracers and TRE
