Nature @ Exeter
We are committed to advancing biodiversity and nature recovery research and driving positive change on a global scale.
Our world-class academics and students are actively engaged in groundbreaking research projects that address critical environmental challenges.
We will be attending the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) Conference of the Parties in Cali, Colombia in October 2024 (COP16). Our research and impact spans many of the themes of the CBD, and the targets of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework.
Understanding biodiversity loss: We explore the causes and consequences of biodiversity loss, providing vital insights for conservation efforts.
Developing sustainable solutions: Our researchers develop innovative strategies for protecting and restoring ecosystems, promoting sustainable land use, and mitigating climate change.
Engaging with global communities: We collaborate with international partners to address biodiversity challenges at local, regional, and global levels.
Shaping policy: Our research informs policy decisions and contributes to international conservation agreements.
Driving innovation: We develop new techniques and approaches for biodiversity conservation and sustainable development.
Educating future leaders: Our academic programmes train the next generation of conservation scientists and environmental leaders.
We are actively seeking partnerships with organisations working on biodiversity and nature recovery at all levels. If you are interested in collaborating with us, please contact Dan Bloomfield.
