Health and Wellbeing in Coastal Communities
This was an Environment and Sustainability Institute (ESI) with the European Centre for Environment & Human Health (ECEHH) event.
Coastal communities in Cornwall and around the world are places where there are significant threats and opportunities for the human population and the environments in which we live. On one hand, our coastal environments can provide excellent opportunities for recreation, healthy and sustainable food and good quality of life. On the other, these places are under threat from rapid environmental and social change, and present specific challenges for public health and wellbeing. In this event we explored these issues in the context of research and collaborations in Cornwall and globally.
