SCI Visiting Researcher: Professor Nivedita Menon
As part of our Visiting Researcher scheme, we are excited to announce that we are collaborating with Exeter’s South Asia Centre to host Professor Nivedita Menon (Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi) at the University of Exeter from 25 - 28 February.
As part of her visit to Exeter, she will deliver two keynote lectures that draw on her recent book Secularism as Misdirection: Critical Thought from the Global South (2024). Her other books include the acclaimed Seeing Like a Feminist (2012) and Recovering Subversion: Feminist Politics Beyond the Law (2004). Prof Menon’s interdisciplinary, multi-lingual, critical research and public interventions have significantly enriched intersectional feminist scholarship and activism.
Professor Menon will also be leading two PGR events:
