SCI aims at Heritage RICHeS for Exeter
SCI is coordinating preparations for an Exeter-led response to AHRC’s call for proposals to build regional research infrastructure for conservation and heritage science (RICHeS). In recent years the University has invested in cutting-edge facilities in Archaeological Science and the Digital Humanities Lab and these have been put to work to record, preserve and analyse a wide variety of artefacts from the sites and collections of partner organisations in the heritage sector. The Research Council envisages establishing hubs to be at the leading edge of technical innovation with sufficient capacity to meet the needs of their region in the long term.
