Overview
I am a PhD student at the University of Exeter in the Centre for Metamaterial Research and Innovation (CMRI). I started my PhD in September 2023, having graduated from the University of Exeter during the summer of the same year, obtaining a MPhys Physics (Hons). My master’s research project explored “Drexhage’s Experiment for sound with Metamaterial boundary conditions."
My PhD project is titled the “Meta based manipulation of Acoustic and Elastic Waves,” supervised by Dr Gregory Chaplain and Dr Timothy Starkey. My interests include using theoretical and simulation-based techniques, to explore how a materials structure can be used to predictably manipulate wave propagation. This project is funded by DSTL.
