What is AccEPT?
AccEPT is a free psychological therapies service for adults living in Devon who have depression, bipolar disorder and other related conditions. We are funded by the NHS and hosted by the University of Exeter. We sit in the gap between primary and secondary care, and develop, evaluate and innovate novel psychological therapies for conditions where current treatments are not optimally effective or where no treatments are available.
Our mission is to develop, test and make accessible effective treatments for depression and other mood disorders. We are based in the Sir Henry Wellcome Mood Disorders Research Centre, a building designed and maintained to provide a pleasant, state-of-the art therapy centre.
We also provide Supervision, training and consultancy to therapists working in other services to deliver innovative treatments. These are provided regionally, nationally and internationally.
