Research in Progress seminar:
Epistemic disobedience and forensic citizenship in (post)dictatorship Argentina
2 July 2024, 16:00 - 17:00, Exeter

In this paper, Arely Cruz-Santiago explores three moments of epistemic disobedience from mothers searching for their loved ones in (post)dictatorship Argentina. It argues that these strategic actions challenge hegemonic histories of forensic humanitarian action and illuminate alternative ways of political and scientific citizenship that have been strategically erased from dominant stories.
