Would you like to play a part in finding new archaeological sites or expanding our knowledge of known ones?

Are you interested in the ‘lost’ historic places that have long-disappeared from our countryside?

Do you want to get hands-on and learn how to use state-of-the-art archaeological prospection equipment?

If so join us at one of our Landscape Survey Activity Days in and around Ipplepen.

 

The first survey workshops of 2020 at Ipplepen are now planned and we are taking bookings for places on these. The dates are as follows:

 

Wednesday 19th February

Thursday 20th February

Wednesday 26th February

 

All workshops will run 9:30am to 3.30pm but are subject to the mercy of the weather!

 

These events will provide you with an opportunity to learn the techniques of geophysical survey whilst exploring the landscape surrounding the archaeological site at Ipplepen.

These are outdoor events that requires gentle physical work – laying tapes, walking with equipment, running cables etc.
