Test pits

• Does the history of your village fascinate you?

• Do you ever wonder what is buried in your garden?

• Would you like to learn the process of archaeological excavation but do not have the time to volunteer at the annual Ipplepen dig?

 

If so, register for our weekend Test Pit event on ***Dates for 2018-19 to be confirmed - please check again soon***.

 

This event will directly involve you in the excavation of a 1m square test pit in your garden where you will recover all of the objects that you find. These finds will enable us to piece together the history and development of Ipplepen village.
