The Exeter Policing, Evidence, and Research Translation (ExPERT) Project

About the research

Evidence-based research is essential for identifying effective policing practice. The ExPERT Project is a South West regional strategic alliance between the University of Exeter, Devon and Cornwall Police force and the Office of Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) that will form an ongoing and responsive working partnership to address areas of regional and national concern.

The ExPERT Project will deliver four components to meet the three core knowledge fund objectives: to develop and sustain capacity amongst police officers and staff, to do research that accelerates evidence-based approaches, and to improve knowledge transfer.
