Researchers in Churches
Researchers in Churches forms part of the FUTURES Festival, and provides a new method for researchers to connect with different local communities.
As part of FUTURES 2024, researchers from the Universities of Exeter, Plymouth and Bristol met at St Mary's Church in Totnes to explore gardening in the face of climate change. Hosted by Radio 4's Ritula Shah, and including Frances Tophill from BBC Gardeners' World, this event was attended by members of the public from across the South West.
Whether they were discussing food security or garden pests, the panel addressed environmental issues already affecting the South West, and how our experiences of gardening are affected by extreme changes to our climate.
