Ana supports the development and implementation of policy on Research Culture and Research Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI). She leads on REF2029 preparations regarding the People, Culture and Environment element and EDI-related aspects of REF preparations.

Ana has previously provided operational and strategic support to the Exeter Research Networks, creating enabling conditions for high quality interdisciplinary research to take place and working with academics across all disciplines to deliver network activities and goals. She led on communications and research culture within the Networks Facilitation team. She has an academic background in Evolutionary Biology and has experience of research culture in several UK and European institutions. Ana is a certified PRINCE2 practitioner.
