Anne-Caroline joined the University of Exeter in 2021 as a research project manager, following 15 years of experience in industrial and commercial companies, primarily as a business analyst and project director specializing in supply chain and logistic efficiency.

 

Since September 2023, she has been part of the Research & Innovation Project Management Pool, supporting both externally funded and internal projects. Examples of her missions include:

 

Research Projects Carbon Costing Tool  – Coordinating the efforts of research software engineers, the sustainability team, and collaborating HEIs to ensure the delivery of a widely usable tool that helps academics and research development teams assess the carbon footprint of project components, enabling them to target actions for improved sustainability (2024/27 – led by the Assistant Director Research Strategy, Development and Management Dr Chloe Onoufriou – Funded by Wellcome)

Critical Mineral Centre for Accelerating the Green Economy - Kickstarting project during the recruitment of their full-time project manager (2024/25 - 4 months - ESE Faculty Cornwall cluster - UKRI NERC)

  • Establishing the framework for the project's management
  • Facilitating initial meetings with the 31 partners
  • Coordinating a launch event in partnership with the Critical mineral Equipment Hub team

SPIN-D Network+ (https://spindementianet.org/) - Kickstarting project during the recruitment of their full-time project manager (2024 - 3 months - HLS Faculty)

  • Liaising with the pre-award team and funder to ensure a seamless transition to post-award
  • Supporting the creation of the project collaborating environment
  • Initiating monthly team meeting (over 30 co-leads from 20 organisations)

SPOCC Research Project (https://fundingawards.nihr.ac.uk/award/NIHR201070) - Ensuring continuity during project manger transition (2024 - 3 months - HLS Faculty)

  • Collating and submitting NIHR annual report and Project Checkpoint report
  • Supporting the organisation of a Research Event with invited partners
  • Setting up the annual steering group meeting

Profiles Project (led by the Research and Impact (Strategy, Policy and Performance) service – 2023/24 - 12 months) - Managing the internal project for migrating five staff profile management systems to a new integrated solution, in close collaboration with the IT and Digital teams
