Chloe has been the Assistant Director of Research Strategy, Development and Management within the University of Exeter Research Division since 2023.
She leads the teams that support academics at all campuses across the full research lifecycle. These activities include research and impact strategy development, horizon scanning, research bidding and research project delivery, including research institutes and centres management.
Among her responsibilities Chloe also serves as the Principal Investigator for a Wellcome-funded project (November 2024 - April 2027). This project aims to develop an open-source tool designed to estimate the carbon footprint of research projects, in collaboration with other UK HEIs.
Beforehand she was the Head of Research for UoE's Cornwall campuses.
Prior to joining the University of Exeter in April 2016, Chloe worked at the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC), focusing on Earth Sciences and Natural Hazards, and at the University of Bristol as a Research Associate, following the award of her PhD in freshwater ecology in 2010.
