Emma is a former Public Engagement Professional and a Chartered Information Professional with extensive experience in pathways to impact and project management. She has a background in leading research support and innovation, including her leadership of a Community Research Awards, where she facilitated collaboration between communities, academics, and stakeholders to co-produce research addressing community-identified gaps and problems. Emma also managed several high-profile public engagement projects, such as the Researchers in Schools program and two public engagement festivals as part of the European Researchers' Night FUTURES festival—a collaboration between Exeter, Bath, Bristol, and Plymouth universities. Her expertise extends to designing impact evaluations and reporting to funders like the European Commission for large grants. Most recently, Emma has been the Impact Evidence and Evaluation Officer facing HLS. Additionally, Emma is the host of the new Exeter Impact Podcast.
