Mrs Jen Siggs

As the Cluster Lead and Senior Research Development Manager, I lead the Research Services team (cluster) based on the Penryn campus, supporting the portfolio of research from all disciplines based on the Cornwall campuses.  The team, divided into Research Development, Research Finance and Project delivery departments support academics in their research activity throughout the whole project life cycle, from the inception of an idea through to bid submission, bid management and closure.  The departments we support include; Earth and Environmental Science, Ecology and Conservation, Humanities and Social Science (Cornwall), Management (part of the University of Exeter Business School), Renewable Energy (part of the Engineering department) and the European Centre of Environment and Human Health (ECEHH, part of the Public and Sport Science department).

I am responsible for supporting the Cornwall based Academic community to deliver the University's research target and adhibitions, in line with our strategic plan.  As such, I support the development of large and strategically important research proposals and Centre proposals and work closely with the project teams' delivering such projects.  I am also proud to support and develop the Research Finance and Research Development teams to deliver the best service possible to faculty colleagues, academics and partners alike.
