Mrs Philippa Sams

Research Finance and Project Manager (Metamaterials)
ESE (Research Finance)

About me:

I am the Complex Initiatives Fund Manager within Research Services. My primary focus is to strategically manage the process to allocate resources and funding for the development of complex strategic initiatives across the University. Pro-actively enabling the University to allocate this facilitation fund, providing earlier and more targeted support to develop high-calibre, high value and greater scale proposals which can be rapidly deployed as successful applications or business cases. For more information please visit Complex Initiatives Fund | Research toolkit | University of Exeter.

This will further enable the University to access these opportunities with agility in a broader funding landscape that is changing rapidly. Funding schemes are increasingly designed to embed research support as part of a wider economic and social impact, and as such they are of greater scale, value and complexity than before.
