Research Strategy, Policy and Performance
As Research Strategy and Planning Officer Suzanne provides co-ordination of research strategy and planning by supporting research and impact governance, policy and budget; and funder database management. She has a strong interest in systems and process development to support colleagues with their tasks.
Before joining the university Suzanne worked for 10 years at a local law firm providing administrative and management support to the business. This included working across the following areas: finance, legal aid billing, quality management, system development and rollout; management meeting support; reporting, HR, marketing and company secretarial governance.
Since 2015 Suzanne has volunteered at the Royal Albert Memorial Museum (RAMM) in Exeter creating an excellent visitor experience, whilst keeping the museum and its artefacts safe; and is passionate about engaging visitors with history and heritage.
Since joining the university in 2016 Suzanne has worked in several cross-institution departments including Estates Services, supporting large capital projects; Legal Services operationally managing the univesity's patent portfolio and reviewing NDAs and MTAs; and Timetabling, managing the timetables for multiple disciplines before joining Research Services in 2022. Suzanne is BSI audit trained.
