Meet the HAIRE pilot sites

One of the innovative methods our researchers are testing is the use of supplementary tools to help explore people’s experiences, needs and desires for healthy ageing.  The researchers worked with design company MAP Digital Projects to create unique stimulus materials for each pilot site to highlight recognisable features, places and community assets within each site.

These images are presented to participants during our Guided Conversations to elicit responses that are beyond top of mind thoughts and feelings as they are asked about what it’s like to live in their community. They may trigger ideas and experiences that give a deeper insight into what life is like in the community in which they live – and what might be changed or added to make it better for them as they age.
