I am a Senior Lecturer in Medical History in the Department of Archaeology and History at Exeter. My research interests are in the history of health and medicine, particularly the history of population and reproduction in modern South Asia, and the history of international development. I teach across the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in History at Exeter. I also co-chair our departmental Athena Swan (gender equality) committee, and co-direct the Centre for Imperial and Global History

 

I hold a BA in History from Cardiff University; an MA in the History of Medicine from University College London; and a PhD from the University of Warwick. I have held fellowships at the Institute of Historical Research in London; the John W. Kluge Center at the Library of Congress; the Center for the History of Medicine at the Countway Library of Medicine, Boston; and the Institute of Advanced Study, University of Warwick.
