Course overview:

This course is designed to inform you about what "lift with your legs, not your back" means and why you should do it.

Manual handling with poor form (e.g, bad body posture) is an easy way to injure your back.

The course does not include practical work.

Participants will have an opportunity to share their experiences and challenges met in manual handling and the solutions they adopted.

Learning outcomes:

During this session you will have the opportunity to have a thorough understanding of good manual handling techniques for:.

- Lifting.

- Carrying.

- Pushing.

- Pulling.

- An understanding of the common causes of manual handling injuries.

Audience:

This course is for anyone who undertakes manual handling tasks as part of their job role.
