Bitesize Learning: Managing Musculoskeletal Issues at Work
Description | Theme: Personal Effectiveness. Category: Wellbeing. Course Overview:. This one-hour session will provide information on musculoskeletal (MSK) issues, and an opportunity to consider the potential impact of these conditions on work. It will cover what support and resources are available to support those with these conditions and what managers can do to support colleagues at work. Sessions will include a short presentation on the condition, the potential impact on work activities, and possible reasonable adjustments to support colleagues at work. It will include the opportunity for discussion and to share best practice. Learning Outcomes:. By the end of the session you will have a better understanding of:. Common Musculoskeletal issues. Common symptoms and the impact on work. How symptoms can be managed and what a manager can do to support staff with Musculoskeletal conditions. What resources are available for staff and managers.
Audience: This session is aimed at all colleagues and managers who want to know more about musculoskeletal conditions and how they can be managed. It will provide managers with information on how they can support those with symptoms at work.
Presenter(s): A qualified member of the University Occupational Health Team will deliver the training; Tamsin Hart, Karen Markes, Karen Griffiths, or Anna Julian.
