Description | Theme: Personal Effectiveness Category: Health, Safety and Environment About this course: This course is for everyone that uses lasers on all University campuses to ensure safe working practices day-to-day and to give an understanding of the legal obligations that accompany work with lasers. If you have already taken laser training, you should take the Refresher course: http://www.exeter.ac.uk/staff/development/coursedetail/?code=60082 Learning outcomes: As a result of attending this course, you will be able to:. - Explain the biological and adverse effects of laser radiation, beam and non-beam hazards. - Review current relevant legislation, standards and guidance. - Explain the University's approach to laser safety. - Review control measures and determine whether further controls are needed.
Who should attend this course: Laser Safety Officers, Laser Safety Supervisors, Technical Staff, Academics, Researchers and any other laser users.
