Webinar explores how to build confidence and maximise potential. - Do you sometimes feel you are not clever/qualified enough?. - Constantly struggling with self-doubt?. - Ever thought your success was down to luck rather than your ability? . - Are you scared that one day your colleagues will find you out as a fraud? - Do you want to understand imposter feelings so that you can support your colleagues and teams better? . If you are asking yourself these questions you might be grappling with Imposter Feelings. Take heart, you are not on your own and there are ways to thrive despite it! Want to build confidence, maximise your potential and finally feel `good enough'? Want to learn more so that you can support colleagues? Join this interactive zoom workshop that will equip you with evidence-based knowledge about imposter feelings and some techniques to help you flourish. In a confidential and supportive space, we will consider what it is actually, where it comes from and which groups of people are more likely to suffer from it. Learning Objectives: As a result of attending this course, you will be able to:. 1 - Describe what imposter syndrome is, recognise its prevalence and potential causes. 2 - Identify the different drivers, beliefs and behaviours behind it. 3 - Use practical skills and techniques to help you manage your imposter feelings and grow confidence. . Themes explored within the Zoom workshop:. - How our thinking impacts on confidence and motivation - ways to test out, challenge and reframe our thoughts. - Consider ways the brain reacts to perceived threat - how to prepare and respond when we experience these feelings. Techniques to keep moving forward despite feeling fear. - Enhance our emotional intelligence and harness abilities to cope. - How self-compassion can be a tool to combat self-criticism. - Develop our use and understanding of mindfulness to help us gain greater self-awareness and emotional regulation.
Who should attend this course: This course is recommended for PGRs, research staff including Early Career Researchers from any discipline who would value exploring this issue.
