Researcher Development : Depositing Your Work to ORE

About this course: Open access allows greater visibility of research and can stimulate new research opportunities and collaborations. Exeter's Institutional Open Access Policy mandates all staff to make in-scope research outputs available in the institutional repository, ORE (Open Research Exeter), via Symplectic, subject to copyright permissions. Postgraduate research students are required to deposit a digital copy of their thesis into ORE as a condition of award. This virtual session will focus on how to use Symplectic to manage publications and deposit them to the institutional repository ORE.
Learning outcomes: As a result of attending this course, you will be able to:. - Understand what a repository is and the benefits of depositing publications. - Know the University Open Access Policy. - Deposit publications into ORE. - Be aware of licensing considerations. - Learn what publishers allow.
Who should attend this course: This course is recommended for Research Staff and Postgraduate Researchers.
