BICSc: Housekeeping & Facilities Management Cleaning
| Description | Theme: Personal Effectiveness Category: Mandatory/Essential to Role About this course: The BICSc course is a recognised qualification Cleaning Professionals Skills Suite. The course covers all aspects of cleaning and the safety of cleaning. It brings together Best Practice work, colour coding, care and safe use of machines, cross contamination control, COSHH, PPE usage and a wide range of individually assessed skills. This course is run on an adhoc basis and will be organised when requested. . While taking part in the course you will also complete:. - Mandatory Course: Induction to Chemical Awareness. - Mandatory Course: Bodily Fluids & Sharps. . The course will typically run over 4 days: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday from 08:30am - 13:30pm unless state otherwise by the joining e-mail.
Learning outcomes: As a result of attending this course, you will be able to:. - Complete the minimum of 11 BICSc skills. - Explain the BICSc 5 principles criteria. - Explain the University standards for cleaning.
Who should attend this course: Any member of staff who carries out cleaning duties who has never completed a BICSc course in the past. Presenter: Paul Brookes & Sian Cozens (BICSc@exeter.ac.uk). If you would like to organise a New BICSc course please contact him to organise and ask any questions.
