Course Overview:.

This training equips the first aider to apply first aid skills and knowledge to a broad range of injuries and illnesses including; the recognition and treatment for fainting, panic attacks, poisoning, seizures, stroke, asphyxia and hypoxia.

It will also cover secondary survey, eye injuries, temperature changes, spinal injury management, diabetic emergency, dealing with electrical incidents, accident reporting and recording.

Learning Outcomes: As a result of attending this course, you will be able to:.

- Describe the first aiders roles and responsibilities.

- Explain how to assess and treat illness and injury.

- Explain how to administer CPR and when to use an AED (defibrillator).

- Describe how to manage and incident.

- Explain how to report incidents of illness and injury.
