Please Note: This session forms part of Day 1 of Empower Training, so previous or future attendees of Empower need not attend.

Within this 2 hour session we will explore the term imposter syndrome.

By using theory, practical exercises and sharing experiences within the group we will cover the following:.

Explore the term Imposter Syndrome, why we experience this and look at how this manifests.

Identify different types of impostor competence through self-reflection.

Explore various strategies and resources to effectively manage and overcome impostor syndrome and self-doubt.

Learning outcomes:

As a result of attending this course, you will be able to:.

Gain an understanding of the concept of imposter syndrome.

Recognise the causes and signs of imposter syndrome and how it impacts us/ you as an individual.

Understand relevant strategies/tools to cope with and navigate imposter syndrome.

Audience:

This course is open to all staff at the university.
