Course overview:

This programme will help you understand the skills needed to manage other people, explore underlying principles and models and offer techniques and insights you will be able to use when working with and managing others.

Learning outcomes:

Self-Awareness - understanding learning and management styles and begin to look at your emotional intelligence.

Management Styles - how to tailor your leadership approach by applying situational leadership to meet the needs of a team.

Communication skills - how to enhance your ability to listen actively and ask powerful questions that drive understanding and solutions, give and receive feedback and deal with conflict.

Time Management - explore some time management strategies to enhance productivity and ensure focus on high-priority tasks - identify key factors in building and sustaining a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence.

Motivation and delegation - understand what drives team members and apply motivational techniques to inspire and engage a team while also being able to effectively delegate tasks to empower them and maximise their potential.

Audience:

Anyone who is interested in becoming a people manager, but who has little or no previous experience.
