About this course:

The session is intended to be an introduction to the core issues in research integrity for all Research Staff and PGRs who are preparing to be autonomous researchers confronting professional and ethical dilemmas and challenges

Learning outcomes:

As a result of attending this course, you will be able to:.

- Define research integrity - gaining an understanding of such terms as `research misconduct', `questionable research practices' and `responsible research practice'.

- Recognise and articulate current concerns in both public debate and the research community.

- Reflect on the relevance of these debates to your own research.

- Know where and how to access guidance, advice and support.

- Understand processes for dealing with allegations of misconduct in research.

Currently leads the Research Ethics, Governance and Compliance team and provides support to the University's `Named Person' for the institutional research misconduct investigation process.

Dr Walsh has over ten years' experience of supporting research integrity across three Universities.

Reflect on what the term `research integrity' means within their discipline.
