Researcher Development : Copyright Card Game for Researchers
Description | Theme: Education and Research Category: Education and Research About this course: This activity is for Research active staff and would be particularly useful to Early Career Researchers. Pre-course information will be circulated beforehand. Would you like to feel more knowledgeable about copyright matters? This session takes a playful approach to copyright training through the use of a card game. You will work as part of a team to think about and discuss a number of common copyright scenarios. Concepts covered will included copyright works, usege, licences and legal exceptions.
Learning outcomes: . As a result of attending this course, you will be able to: - Understand how copyright works in practice in educational establishments. - Become familiar with available licences and the legislative framework. - Compare the roles of exceptions and licences through a series of real-world scenarios. - Reflect on the role of risk management in making decisions when using copyright material.
