Convocation |
23.1 |
In addition to provision under the Charter, Statutes and Ordinances, the relationship between the University and Convocation is subject to a Code of Practice approved by the Council of the University on the recommendation of the Annual General Meeting of Convocation. |
23.2 |
The names of Members of Convocation, as defined in Section 17 of the Statutes, shall be placed on the Register of Convocation maintained by the Registrar and Secretary, save that Honorary Graduates shall be registered only after approval by Convocation in each case. |

The names of Members of Convocation in classes (a), (b), (c) and (d) of Section 17(1) of the Statutes shall be retained on the Register so long as they hold the qualifying office. |
23.4 |
The Registrar and Secretary shall maintain an address list in which the names and addresses of all members of Convocation shall be recorded upon registration. |
23.5 |
The name of a member of Convocation in classes (e), (f) and (g) of Section 17(1) of the Statutes whose address ceases to be known, or who requests removal, or who, after such period of notice as may be determined by Convocation, fails to reply to communications shall be removed from the address list. The name of any member so removed from the address list shall be re-entered upon receipt in writing of a request for re-entry. |

The notice of the Annual General Meeting or of a Special General Meeting of Convocation shall be published in the University's alumni magazine not less than 35 days in advance of the date of such meeting. |
23.7 |
Any Member wishing to bring forward a motion for consideration at a meeting of Convocation shall send to the Registrar and Secretary written notice of such a motion signed by him/herself and at least two other Members not less than 21 days before the date of the meeting. |
23.8 |
Convocation may make Regulations for the conduct of its affairs without prejudice to the Charter and Statutes. |
