Exeter University Foundation
Director of Development & Alumni Relations: Susie Hills
The Exeter University Foundation was registered as a charitable foundation in 1983. Charitable gifts and bequests received by the Foundation are applied to assist in the provision for research and instruction within the University; to promote teaching and research particularly in the provision of equipment and materials within the University and of books and periodicals for its Library, and to promote the education of scholars and the public by the assistance and support of the museum or museums within the University. The University Foundation owns in trust the collections of the Bill Douglas Centre for the History of Cinema and Popular Culture at the University of Exeter.
The Foundation’s Board of Trustees is an independent body. Trustees ensure that gifts to the Foundation are safely invested, disbursed to those for whom they were intended, and used for the purposes agreed. The Foundation manages a dedicated fund for investment in the Bill Douglas Centre.
