Deanships of Colleges |
28.1 |
The Deans of Colleges shall be appointed by the Council on the recommendation of the Senate. The Vice-Chancellor shall, following an open and transparent process which may include internal and external advertisement and interview, make a nomination to Senate for onward transmission to Council. |
28.2 |
College Deans shall be appointed for a period of five years from 1 August in any given year. College Deans shall be eligible for reappointment for one further term. |
28.3 |
If the Office of College Dean should fall empty before the expiry of the agreed period of tenure, a locum appointment may be made by the Vice-Chancellor until the procedures referred to in paragraph 28.1 can be operated. |
