Student Employability and Academic Success Review

The SEAS Transformation Project’s purpose is to undertake a review of the current operating model, ways of working, current service offerings and resourcing to create a more joined up and efficient service which will deliver efficiencies through new ways of working.

  • Organisation review of all functions and staffing within SEAS areas
  • Review of how SEAS links with key stakeholders including Colleges, IIB and Global Advancement in respect of employability and placements, as well as each of the individual colleges
  • Implementation of a new Operating Model to create a more joined up and efficient service whilst delivering efficiencies

The Transformation is sponsored by Ian Blenkharn, Director of Education and Student Support with the support of a Steering Group who are responsible for monitoring the progress of change within SEAS and resolving issues that may compromise delivery and benefits realisation.

The following key dates have been agreed for the service transformation but may be subject to further refinement following staff consultation on the proposed designs for the new service.

  • Complete- Diagnosis of “as is” activities and processes
  • Complete – Design of “to be” service options
  • Complete- engagement on high level organisation and operating model
  • April-19- VCEG approval to consult with staff
  • May-19 – staff consultation on proposed organisation structures
  • *June-19– Review of feedback following consultation and announcement of final structure
  • *July-19 onwards – transition planning
  • *Sept-19 aim to transition to the new organisation
