Stagecoach

Stagecoach is a key stakeholder, working with the partners to improve sustainable travel options for Exeter and Devon.

Stagecoach buses are the most economical Euro 6 diesel buses, with long term plans to move towards electric buses.

DCC, ECC, RD&E, the University and Stagecoach work together to identify opportunities for funding into alternatives.

Through the project, quarterly meetings between the University and Stagecoach have been reinstated where the Sustainable Travel and Transport team discuss service delivery and future plans. Stagecoach are aware of capacity issues with the D bus, and the proposed route consultation should have a positive impact on this.

Don’t forget that staff have 1/3 subsidy off all Stagecoach bus fares, not just the daily commute.
