Collaborative Approach

Exeter City Council has committed to being Carbon Neutral by 2030. This cannot be achieved by one organisation alone, and the Partnerships and Collaboration project is supporting this agenda by bringing a collaborative approach to different problems the city faces.

Together we are:

• Promoting alternative travel/public transport to staff to encourage them to leave the car at home and reduce the dominance of cars in the city.
• Sharing information about upcoming initiatives, breaking down silo’s and improving communication through Service lead and Procurement meetings and an Executive Board with representatives from all partners
• Working with key stakeholders such as the Met Office, Exeter City Futures and Stagecoach on identified issues

The University is committed to creating a positive impact on our local community, and has signed a Statement of Intent towards creating a Civic University Agreement, collaborating to form partnerships to “overcome challenges facing our local communities” .
