Free taster of trauma-informed yoga exercises and mindfulness

12 October, 12.30-1.30pm | The Wellbeing Network | Streatham campus (room TBC) | Sign up | Kayleigh is a Clinical Psychologist and Yoga Teacher based in Exeter. She is offering a free taster session of chair-based yoga stretches alongside some mindfulness practices. This will be followed by regular paid sessions. Her work is aimed at supporting recovery and growth from trauma, and better physical, psychological, biological & emotional wellbeing for everyone. |
Managing Chronic Fatigue at Work (internal training) | 18 October, 10-11am | Occupational Health | Online | Sign up | This session will provide information on symptoms of Chronic Fatigue and Post-COVID syndrome (Long-COVID). It will cover what support and resources are available for those with the condition, and what managers can do to support colleagues at work. |
Black Mental Health: Talk and Q&A | 26 October 12-1.30pm | University of Exeter | Online | Sign up | Join Dean Harvey, Associate Non-Executive Director at Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, for a talk and Q&A about Black mental health in the UK. This session will cover contributing factors to mental ill health including racism, isolation and inequality, as well as protective factors contributing to mental wellness such as creativity, joy and community. Post-session support and resources will be provided. All staff and students from University of Exeter, Falmouth University, FX Plus and The Students’ Union are welcome to attend. |

The Wellbeing Network would like to invite you to our monthly coffee and cake social based on the Swedish tradition of Fika. We will provide the coffee and tea - you just need to bring a mug and something sweet to eat (shop bought is fine!). Even if you can only drop in for 20 mins, please do come along if you can! |
