Careers Fairs

We deliver a selection of careers fairs which are designed to provide you with access to a range of employers offering part-time work, internships, placements and graduate opportunities. These companies are keen to recruit Exeter students, making them a fantastic opportunity for you to access potential future employers.

Fairs 2024-2025 

We are delighted to advise of our upcoming programme of careers fairs, outlined below. 

These events are open to Exeter students of all years and disciplines. Our graduates are also welcome to attend.

Autumn term 2024

  • Student Employment Fair 2024 **MORE DETAILS COMING SOON**
    Wednesday 2 October 2024, 11:00 - 14:00, Streatham Campus, Exeter, Devon. 
    Best for: Students seeking casual, part time and vacation work, to undertake alongside and during your studies. 

  • Careers and Placement Fair 2024 - sponsored by Hazlewoods 
    Tuesday 15 October 2024, 11.30 - 15:30, Streatham Campus, Exeter, Devon. 
    Best for: Those looking for internships, placements and graduate-level jobs across a wide range of sectors.

  • Careers and Opportunities Fair 2024 
    Wednesday 16 October 2024, 11:00 - 14:00, Penryn Campus, Penryn, Cornwall.
    Best for: Finding casual, part time, vacation work, internships, placements and graduate-level jobs from a wide cross-section of industries. 
  • Law Careers Fair 2024 - sponsored by Michelmores LLP 
    Wednesday 20 November 2024, 12:30 - 15:30, Streatham Campus, Exeter, Devon.  
    Best for: Exploring opportunities in the legal sector. Exhibitors include law firms, barristers' chambers and legal education training providers.

Spring term 2025

  • Penryn Campus Part-Time Jobs Fair 2025 
    Date to be confirmed, Penryn Campus, Penryn, Cornwall.
    Best for: Talking to employers about part-time jobs and seasonal work, but also considering internship programmes, placements, and graduate careers. 

  • Ecology, Conservation & Environment Fair 2025 
    Date to be confirmed, Penryn Campus, Penryn, Cornwall.
    Best for: Connecting ecology, conservation, environment, and marine science students with companies and organisations offering internships, placements and graduate-level jobs. 

Summer term 2025

  • Summer Recruitment Fair 2025 
    Date to be confirmed, Streatham Campus, Exeter, Devon.
    Best for: Talking to employers about casual, part-time and vacation work, plus internships, placements and graduate-level jobs.   

Prepare for a Careers Fair

To help you prepare, the Career Zone deliver 'Prepare for the Fair' sessions ahead of major fairs which you can book via Handshake. Any new sessions being delivered will be listed both here and in Handshake.

Whilst we don't have any sessions running currently, you can view our Prepare for the Fair resource.

 

Please note that photographs will be taken at these events for marketing and training purposes.  We intend to use these images, where appropriate, in our promotional material to tell others about the benefits of the University. This may take the form of entries on the University's website, in emails, printed and digital media, to highlight to other students, prospective students, employers, staff and other stakeholders of the activities organised by the Employer Engagement and Student Employment Team.
