The Careers and Placement Fair, sponsored by Hazlewoods, is this year taking place in The Great Hall and Sanctuary. We will be welcoming a wide range of companies, representing a variety of sectors, with exhibitors promoting their graduate vacancies, internships, placements and postgraduate courses. It provides the ideal opportunity to meet and speak informally with recruiters about the opportunities available to you.

All University of Exeter students are welcome, regardless of your year of study, subject or campus. Our fair is also open to our graduates.
If you are interested in a career in the legal sector, then make sure you attend our Law Careers Fair - sponsored by Michelmores LLP on Wednesday 20 November 2024.

How to attend the Fair
To attend the fair, there is no need to book. You can just turn up on the day!
Quiet Half Hour: 11:30 - 12:00 will be run as a quiet session to enable students and staff with additional needs to more easily access the fair experience. To attend the quiet half hour, you will need to book a space here. During this time, sound is kept to a minimum and we request that those who do not need additional support avoid attending during this time to minimise crowding.
We always recommend checking in advance to see who is attending the event. The list of exhibitors attending will be available to view on Handshake closer to the date of the fair.
Penryn Students
If you are based on the Penryn campus and would like to attend this fair you can reserve a space on a coach that is bringing Penryn students to Exeter for the day. Make sure to book on to the Handshake event to reserve your space on the coach and follow the instructions to secure your space. If the coach is full, you will be added to the waitlist.
Using Handshake before and during the Fair
You will be able to look through the list of exhibitors in advance through the Handshake listing for this careers fair. You will also be able to access the floorplan on Handshake during the fair, to see where everyone is situated.

Due to the fair, The Terrace and Sanctuary will not be available for quiet study on the 14 and 15 October. You can, however, view alternative study space on the free space checker.
Photography
Please note that photographs will be taken at this event for marketing and training purposes. We intend to use these images, where appropriate, in our promotional material to tell others about the benefits of the University. This may take the form of entries on the University's website, in emails and printed and digital media, to highlight to other students, prospective students, employers, staff and other stakeholders of the activities organised by the Employer Engagement and Student Employment Team.
