The STEM Careers Fair, sponsored by Newton Europe, is this year taking place in The Great Hall and Sanctuary. Exhibitors are to be announced at a later date. We will be welcoming a large range of STEM-focused companies, representing a variety of sectors, with exhibitors promoting their graduate vacancies, internships, placements and postgraduate courses. It provides the ideal opportunity to meet and speak informally with recruiters about the opportunities available to you.
All University of Exeter students are welcome, regardless of your year of study, subject or campus. Our fair is also open to our graduates.
We will also be running our Careers and Placement Fair - sponsored by Hazlewoods on Tuesday 15 October 2024.

How to attend the Fair
To attend the fair, there is no need to book. You can just turn up on the day!
Quiet Half Hour: 11:30 - 12:00 will be run as a quiet session to enable students and staff with additional needs to more easily access the fair experience. During this time, sound is kept to a minimum and we request that those who do not need additional support avoid attending during this time to minimise crowding.
We always recommend checking in advance to see who is attending the event. The list of exhibitors attending will be available to view on Handshake closer to the date of the fair.

Using Handshake before and during the Fair
You will be able to look through the list of exhibitors in advance through the Handshake listing for this careers fair. You will also be able to access the floorplan on Handshake during the fair, to see where everyone is situated.
If you have never used Handshake before, you will need to log in. To log in and complete your profile please visit https://exeter.joinhandshake.co.uk
If you haven't activated your account yet, when prompted select the 'single sign on' option and follow the on screen instructions.
This is NOT a virtual fair - you will not need to book specific sessions to see specific employers, you dont even have to register to come if you don't want to!

Alternative Study Space
Due to the fair, The Terrace and Sanctuary will not be available for quiet study on the 6 and 7 November. You can, however, view alternative study space on the free space checker.

Photography
Please note that photographs will be taken at this event for marketing and training purposes. We intend to use thse images, where appropriate, in our promotional material to tell others about the benefits of the University. This may take the form of entries on the University's website, in emails and printed and digital media, to highlight to other students, prospective students, employers, staff and other stakeholders of the activities organised by the Employer Engagement and Student Employment Team.
