Global Entrepreneurship Week
Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) is taking place from 13 -19 November, and is the world's biggest celebration of entrepreneurship with 180 countries taking part. As part of GEW, the Career Zone and Student Start-ups will be hosting a range of events to inspire and help you explore the skills, knowledge and attributes needed to go freelance, be self-employed, start-up your own business or to become an entrepreneurial employee.

While at University you will have the opportunity not only to further your academic knowledge and understanding, but also to develop your employability skills and competencies.The Career Zone has adopted the Entrecomp framework and each of our activities have been labelled with the relevant Entrecomp area. Through Entrecomp you can develop your entrepreneurial skills to generate cultural, social and economic value for others.
All Career Zone activities are designed to enable you to develop both your own employability and your entrepreneurial capacity so you can help to lead the change the world needs. The Student Start-ups programme is available to support students in testing and building their own business venture.

Whether you are taking an entrepreneurship module or are simply wishing to enhance your employability, the Exeter Award entrepreneurship theme offers you a way to get University recognition for your extra and co-curricular entrepreneurship activities. The Career Zone will be running skill sessions throughout the week, both in person and online. Sessions include 'Understanding Social Enterprise', 'Ways of Working' and 'Assertiveness and Understanding Behaviour'. The Student Startups team runs drop-in Q&A sessions online every Tuesday from 2:00pm-3:00pm. Please contact the Student Startup team to request a link to access the session.
