Many students will need a part-time or casual job alongside studies to help with the cost of living. These types of roles are also great to have on your CV as they show a wide range of skills. This page outlines the various ways we can help you find and apply for jobs, including resources, events and appointments.
Events
There is a Student Employment Fair on the Streatham campus usually at the start of the Autumn term with employers looking for part time and casual staff. There is a similar event at Penryn campus in the Spring Term. There is also a Careers Fair at Streatham in the Summer term which includes part-time and casual work as well as opportunities for the summer vacation. Employers looking for part time and casual staff also visit the campus with pop up stands throughout the year. Any employers on campus will be listed on Handshake under events.
This session will explore the benefits of gaining part-time work, where you can find these opportunities and top tips for your applications. This session also discusses how gaining a part-time job can support you in your graduate aspirations. Session will be listed on Handshake.

- Student Campus Partnerships (SCP) are student internships working for the University of Exeter.
- Student Business Partnerships (SBPs) are student internships working for local businesses.

This guide gives helpful tips for where to look for a part-time job locally, especially useful if you're not familiar with the Truro and Falmouth area. Printed copies are available from Career Zone in Cornwall (ground floor of the Exchange building, Penryn Campus).
