Careers in Public Policy and Government Week 21st to 25th October

Careers in the public sector, policy and government are some of the most popular graduate destinations.

The public sector is one of the biggest areas of growth in the job market and graduate vacancies are expected to increase for the third consecutive year in this sector with more than 4,500 entry level opportunities available. (High Fliers 23/24)

Whether you are considering working in the Civil Service, or more locally within local government there are plenty of options, but these are not the only ones.  If you are interested in solving real-world problems that affect daily life such as education, health and national security you can also work for other public service agencies and public bodies such as the Health Service, Police, Think Tanks or research institutes to help shape policy.

Starting on Monday 21st October, and throughout the week you can:

  • Explore job roles and potential employers
  • Gain insight from experienced alumni
  • Connect with employers and learn from their expertise
  • Build your networks

Here’s what’s coming up during the week:
