The Chapels
The Mary Harris Memorial Chapel of the Holy Trinity is a beautiful, peaceful building, a quiet place set in the green south-facing hillside of Streatham Campus, and a space where you can simply be. As well as an open invitation to our services, at other times you are welcome to come and sit for as long as you like, and to light a candle – the chapel is open to everyone every day, both for private prayer and services.
St Luke's Chapel has been extensively refurbished over the last 17 months, with improvements made to the accessibility of the building.
Join our online chapel community
An Anglican Chapel Friends facebook group has been set up for students and staff who would like to keep in touch and share prayer requests. We also use Zoom for online prayer and discussion groups.
You don't need to have been a Chapel attendee or consider yourself to be a Christian to join either of these – all students and staff are very welcome.
Prayer
We have a board in the Mary Harris Chapel on which people can leave prayers, so if you are on campus then do pop in, rest for a while in the space and, if you so wish, leave something on the board. All prayers are read and prayed for regularly.
If you are unable to physically come to the Chapel, then please do email us instead at anglicanchaplaincy@exeter.ac.uk with the heading 'Prayer Board’. No prayer is too big or small and everyone is welcome to submit a prayer or thought.
