Staying on campus or in Exeter over the Easter vacation period? If so, check out the pages below to find out what facilities, services and events are available within the University.

Most facilities and services will be available as normal (following out of term opening hours) until Thursday 28 March, and will re-open for normal business on Tuesday 2 April. Between these times there may be limited opening hours and we advise you check details on this page.

Bluebell woodland walk
Over the space of a few weeks in spring, from mid-April onwards, bluebells set our woodlands ablaze with their bright blue flowers.  The UK is home to more than half the world’s population of bluebells, making it our unofficial national flower. Join us for a local walk from the University to see this wonder.

A walk through Dartmoor’s National Park from Okehampton station. Tickets are free to book here (although the train ticket does cost £8.80 or less with a young person’s rail card), and the group will meet at Exeter Central train station at 11.15am, and travel back in the afternoon.

GIAG: Trip to Pennywell Farm
Join us on a spring visit to Pennywell Farm! Pennywell Farm is located in Buckfastleigh in South Devon and is best known for the experiences it offers to meet the farm animals. You can expect opportunities to feed goats, pet piglets and cuddle other small animals. Tickets include entry to the farm as well as coach travel both ways from Streatham Campus to Pennywell Farm and back.

Other events in town

During April, Exeter puts a variety of events in place for everyone to enjoy. The RAMM holds talks, lectures, exhibitions, and workshops such as the RAMM Lates session to explore a variety of music and dance performances, writing and yoga sessions, and more. Other performances will take place at Northcott Theatre and Exeter Phoenix, as listed in their websites. And the Red Coat guides will continue their regular tours across the city that go from exploring Medieval Exeter to hearing about its ghosts and legends.

The Student Health centre will be offering NHS GP services to students from 8.30am – 6pm Monday to Friday except for Bank Holidays of Monday 1 April, Mondays 6 and 27 May, and Monday 26 August 2024.

If you would like to request repeat medication please email

Wellbeing Services will be open 09.00am – 5pm Monday to Friday except for Bank Holidays of Friday 29th March , Monday 1 April and Monday 6 May 2023.

You an access a wide range of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy based support online through Living Life to the Full, including courses on low mood, anxiety and stress. You can access Living Life to the Full through our A-Z of support services.

All students have access to Togetherall which is an online support community, offering peer and professional support and is available 24/7, 365 days of the year.

Postgraduate research students can also access Spectrum Life for counselling and support .

The Multifaith chaplains are available to talk to during the Easter break for one-on-one support. Book a ‘Time To Talk’ slot here or email chaplaincy@exeter.ac.uk .

On Good Friday (29th March) there will be a 10am united service at Exeter Cathedral, followed by an open air reflection of the crucifixion of Jesus.

Career Zone

During the Easter Vacation the Career Zone will be here to support you 10am to 3pm Monday to Friday. 

We’ll have appointments with our friendly and experienced staff, plus our team will be available to live chat with you via our website, take your phone calls and answer your emails.

The Estate Patrol Control Room is staffed 24/7 this includes the Easter vacation period. Estate Patrol Officers will be available to provide advice, direction and attend incidents as required.
