Eco-exe
This group created a browser extension which gives emission-friendly substitutes for food at the end of customers’ shops called "Eco-exe". This browser extension that provides a solution to the environmental impacts of the food industry intending to change customers' behaviour and practices in the food industry, to make more sustainable choices. Eco-exe aims to provide customers transparency on the environmental impact of the food products they buy online and provides customers with substitutes for food products that have a high environmental impact.

How it works:
Once downloaded onto your chrome, eco-ex operates in the background while you online food shop. The browser extension rates the environmental impact of the food products in your basket using Foundations Earths’ eco-labeling scheme. This labelling scheme creates a traffic light score based on the environmental impact of the individual items of food in your basket. The rating system includes carbon emissions, water usage, water pollution, and biodiversity of your food. Exo-ex will suggest sustainable alternatives to products that produce a high environmental impact score. At the end of each online food shop, an overall environmental impact score and traffic light score will be assigned to your online food shop. Your shop will be placed on a leaderboard with other eco-ex customers and connected friends. Eco points and rewards will be assigned to those who are high up the leaderboard!
